Lagos – Millions of Lagos residents embarked on endurance trek early Monday due to the ban on commercial motorcycle and tricycle in the state.
Many workers and traders who trooped out on Monday were stranded at the various bus stops because there were no vehicles to convey them to their destinations.
There was total compliance by the operators of the okada and keke NAPEP barely three days that the state began clamp down on the commercial motorcycling.
This has also increased the cost of transportation as commercial bus drivers across the state have increased their fares.
As at 10am on Monday, many had not arrived their various offices. Although the ban has brought some sorts of sanity to the roads, the masses who depend on the okada and tricycle to get to their working places suffered a lot.
